brother 2360 horizontal toner streaks

My brother 2360 prints horizontal toner streaks, even after I have cleaned the drum unit. This has been going on for awhile, and often if I print a page or two it goes away, but it is here to stay. I hardly use the printer, so it is hard to believe the toner is low or that the drum unit is damaged. But maybe it is time...
