Hello everyone,

We have the following problem: we use a Brother ADS-4700W scanner in our network.

Unfortunately, the error message "This machine is not connected to the network. Check the network connection" keeps coming up.

The device is connected via LAN all the time, and the device is always accessible.

After clicking away the error message several times and trying again, it eventually works smoothly.

Does anyone have any ideas?

Many thanks and best wishes

It looks like your Brother ADS-4700W scanner might be running into a network issue. The error about not being connected, even though it’s accessible, could be due to a glitch or configuration error. If the connection seems fine, try assigning a static IP to the scanner, this can help prevent any disruptions caused by dynamic IP changes. make sure the scanner’s firmware and drivers are up to date as updates often fix issues like this. You might check the power-saving settings sometimes, scanners lose connection when they go into sleep mode. If none of that helps, resetting the scanner to factory settings and setting it up again might do the trick
