The Brother DCP-7040 is a monochrome laser printer with scan function.
Suddenly the printer started printing with lower print quality.
It is no longer b / w, it is now gray / w, often called the concept or draft mode.
I did my homework:
1. Checked the printer settings, on the printer and in the PC software;
2. Replaced the (not empty) toner cartridge with a new one;
3. Replaced the drum with a new one;
4. Reinstalled (recommended) driver software;
5. Checked printer firmware;
The printer is set to Save Toner Off, that means it has to print in Normal quality.
But switching Toner Save Mode Off-On-Off makes no difference.
It does not make any difference printing from paper or a previous scanned PDF file.
Please help.
