Brother DCP-L3550cdw has quality problems with compatible toner, original toner is OK

Hi

I have been troubleshooting issues I have observed for some time with compatible toners from vendor in DK. So far two issues have been found:

1. Compatible magenta was OK originally, but has turned pale red after a few pages. Tried 2 compatible magenta toners – same issue. When replacing with original magenta, issue goes away.

2. Horisontal lines in all but red and yellow, probably due to compatible cyan toner. Also tried 2 compatible cyans. Have not yet tried original cyan.

Printer is appr. 1 year old and has only been printing around 2000 pages in total.
Any suggestions?

First step I will try before switching to original toners, is to use colori toners of higher quality than standard compatible toners.
I remember that I had similar issues with my HP CM1312 printer before switching to colori toners.
