Brother HL 21 40

Brother printer HL 21 40 just prints blank pages from chromebook. Ran a test page and it prints fine. Tried various things and reset the printer. Seems no connection between the chromebook and the printer. I'm using a usb port. Printer is not cloud ready. Page trying to print does show brother hl 21 40 as connected printer.

Brother 2140 not compatible with chromebook. Bought a new HP 5052 but had to add manually. No one tells you you need to add the printer IP address.
