Brother HL-L2395DW - Print missing ink in broad horizontal line.

Can anybody please tell me how to fix this? New, knock off toner cartridge. Have worked before. Something underneath by roller seems to latch unevenly. Thought I got it lined up. Making massive clunking noise.
Sooo frustrated. Please help!
