Brother J4510DW ink pad not resetting

I've cleaned the brother j4510dw ink pad and reset the purge counter. However the unit is giving a message the ink pad is near full. I have even pulled the sensor so it's not in contact with the pads but still getting the message. Is there another counter that needs to be reset please. ...if so what and how. Thank you.
