Brother MFC 8120 installation over network not working

I have tried everything possible to install my Brother MFC 8120 for use over the network, but USB doesn't work either. I remember getting the printer working with Ubuntu, a distro of Linux, but never with Windows. Any help or suggestion is greatly appreciated, but I am working with Brother MFC 8220 drivers.
