Hello All,
This is my first post here and hoping someone may be able to help me.
I have a problem when I print in that black horizontal banding is produced across the page of the printout. The banding looks similar to that shown in this link:
https://www.dropbox.com/s/u3a67139bbkzv9g/Scan.BMP.jpg?dl=0
I have tried:
- changing toner
- changing drum
- calibration
- registration
- cleaning corona wire
and nothing has helped.
What I did notice is when i swapped the black toner/drum assembly into the position of the cyan, the smear went away, but i then had problems with the cyan.
When I run the test print, with the colours in the correct positions, I get the smear again. When I ran a test page, I noticed a faint duplicate of the print lower down the page.
When I print a blank page with the black toner in the correct position in the tray, I get the smear lines happening again. When I swap the black toner position with any of the other colours, and run the black in another position, I don't get any horizontal smearing at all.
Does anyone have any ideas?
Thanks in advance.
J
