I have a Brother MFC-L2710DW multi-function printer/scanner. The printer comes with two sets of drivers, one TWAIN compliant and the other WIA.
My understanding is that the TWAIN drivers offer the most flexibility for scanning.
My problem is that I don’t know how to force the machine to load the TWAIN drivers. In fact, I don't even see them. When I installed the printer, I downloaded the Full Driver and Software package and installed the software via LAN (WIFI to router, ethernet connection from my router to the printer).
I see there is a dedicated driver installation package for TWAIN but this is for local connections only. How can I force the printer to use the TWAIN drivers? If I reinstall the drivers via a local connection, will they still function in a LAN environment?
I would be happy for any guidance you could offer.
Thanks,
Trip
