Brother MFC L2750DW - print cartridge pins

My Brother printer won't recognise the new print cartridge (Non OEM)
I've tried all the online help with toner and drum reset but to no avail.

Can anyone tell me how many pins the printer should have that connect with the print cartridge contact pads.
The machine only has 3 pins and my spider senses think this may be the problem, as the cartridge has 4 contact pads.

Any help very much appreciated.
