Brother printer scanner connection issues.

Brother DCP9020CDW Connected via usb to desktop. Wireless printing to laptop and tablet.

Printer works OK both ways but constantly have trouble scanning. W10 cant find any scanner attached. After re-installing , re-booting sometimes I can get it to work but it is a reoccurring problem.

I see lots of people reporting similar problems with Brother combi printers but no permanent solutions.

Brother printers may be good but the software/firmware sucks.
