Brother scanner adding invisible blank pages

Can anyone give any advise here

Got a Brother MFC-J6930DW. It's set to scan both sides of documents and the ignore blank page it ticked. The problem I am having is if for example I scan a 4 page document (so 2 pages with text on both sides) I get a pdf with 8 pages. So page 1 then a blank page then page 2 then blank page etc.

Anyone got any clues how I resolve.
