Cannon laser printer---scanning issues

I just bought a Cannon imageclass MF4570dn laserjet printer. One on the reasons I bought it was for the scanner capability. I've havinging problems scanning. I've checked the web site for the latest driver and it appears that the latest is installed. My biggest problem is trying to scan more to 2 sheets and trying to scann remotely. My OS is Windows 7.....Does anyone have any ideas?
