Canon IP7250 shall I dump it ??

The yellow light is constantly flashing and the print head is in need of replacement despite thoroughly flushing it through.
The cost of the new head is prohibitive and I may just as well buy a new printer. I am reluctant to dump the printer but it seems the only course, has anyone any ideas please.
