Canon IX6850-how to print 12"x12x paper

Hi
I'm a crafter and want to print 12x12 paper and card borderless. No matter what setting I use, I get a white border round the print. I've tried putting the size into custom paper size but still no good. Obviously it prints A3 and A4 borderless. It's supposed to be A3+ printing. Why won't it print 12 x 12 borderless? Can anyone help?
