Canon making loud clicking noise when printing

I've had a Canon PIXMA MP530 printer for a few years and it's worked pretty good. It's still printing but NOW it's making a VERY loud clicking sound as it's getting things moving (right before it actually prints!).
Can anyone tell me how to take a look and see if I can spot the clicking?
What could this be? Like I said, it's printing just fine.
