Canon MG3650 too quick to clean head

I have a Canon MG3650 which works pretty well. One thing that really annoys me is, when I have printed one page and I'm just about to print another, it starts the clean cycle. Is there any way that this period can be increased from the default of about 30 seconds. When I'm printing multiple ebay labels, I have to wait while it wastes ink between each label.
