Canon MP490 prints all blank pages wi-fi

I have a Canon MP490 connected to an iMac and it prints and scans perfectly. I have a HP Pavilion which I just downloaded the Canon drivers to last night. The HP is connected to the network via wi-fi network. When I did a test page on the HP I heard it go through the motions of printing from another room but I never checked the paper it printed on. I just tried printing a page from Open Office and it showed the MP490 as the default printer and said it was Ready and when I pressed OK it went through the motions and printed just a blank page.
