I am looking to purchase a new Canon ink tank scanner/printer for home use and have a few specific criteria in mind. I would appreciate any experiences or comparisons anyone could share regarding different models.
Here are my requirements:
- A paper cassette tray
- Ink Tank/Megatank system
- Good quality black text
- Reasonable to good quality color pictures
- Automatic duplex printing would be a plus
- A long warranty
- Efficient ink usage (for example, MX925 had issues with this), as I tend to print small amounts weekly
- Ideally, the price should be under £300 (there are some good Black Friday deals available)
I have looked into the Maxify range but am struggling to understand the benefits of the models GX1050, GX2050, GX3050, and GX5550. Would spending a bit more on the higher-numbered machines help me meet or exceed my criteria?
