I own a Cannon Pixma MG5550 and have been using it happily for the past ~9 months with my laptop.
Today I gave it to my uncle and connected it with his laptop. I can not print anything and message, something similar to: "Cannon Pixma MG5550 series has encountered a problem which requires your attention" appears. It does not give any information about what the problem is or what to do about it.
I googled common problems with the model, printers and this particular but none of the possible solutions worked.
So far I have re-installed the printer software from the CD, updated PC drivers, installed some new drivers, ran Troubleshooting for printer & homegroup, reset printer factory settings.
The printer is working ok with my laptop but it does not "like" my uncle's laptop.
Any idea what to do ?

PS: I am using USB, with wi-fi off if that is important.
