Canon Pixma TR4551 LAN or Wifi Connection

Help, just purchased Pixma T4551 and cannot connect it to the internet. It cannot be found via LAN when connected with Wire and it will not allow me to input my Internet Password as it contains numerics and unable to change from letters to numbers when keying this in. The 'asterisk' key merely offers changes to upper and lower case numbers and no option for numerics can be found. The guides state to press Setup to change to numerics, all this does is returns me to the set up mode and exit the Wifi Set up. It's pretty frustration, got to use with USB cable until resolved, would help if anyone has any ideas or knowledge for me to try to get the numerics to work when entering my wifi password. Thank you.
