Can't print pictures

I am unable to print pictures, Windows 10, but can print text. I have to go through Paint or another program to print pictures. I wasn't to be able to select a picture and print it.

Have you ever been able to print images through the OS? What type of file (jpeg, etc.) are you trying to print?
