Dreaded B200 error on Canon Pixma Pro 100s

Got the dreaded B200 error on my Canon Pixma Pro 100s, which according to Canon now means I have an expensive paper weight. However after a bit of research / YouTube I've found a lot of people have actually managed to fix this.

I want to try replacing the print head as this might be the issue but it's "locked" over to the right-hand side of the printed and I can't move it (tried using a fair amount of force but it won't budge).

Anyone had a similar issue and did you figure out how to resolve the B200 error and also did you manage to get the print head free???

*edit* for info, it was working perfectly fine prior to this but was making a bit of a "clacking" noise. The image quality was fine though.

Following on from this (printer still broken today), if I manage to get the printhead free and can take the ink carts out, is it worth re-using them in a different printer or is there a risk with that? What I'm asking is if the B200 error is because of the print head and the ink carts are fine, or could the problem be with one or more of the ink carts themselves? Would I be better off just ditching the whole printer including the ink carts and using my backup Pro100s instead?

Unplug, open lid, move head when powering on, or try force restart
