Epson 1500W severely restricted options since new laptop connected. No A3

windows 10. recognises printer driver, but document size, paper variables no longer accessible.
Tried un installing and then re installing in a compatibility mode, windows 7. No change

Control Panel -> Devices & Printers -> Right Click 1500W Icon -> Select Printing Preferences

Still no luck, although now set as the default printer.

Should I have to uncheck (let windows control the printer) somewhere? Not sure where to find this.
