This started happening two or three months ago. I have filled the ink tanks, and reset the ink levels in the maintenance menu three times - the message keeps coming back.
I've worked with a couple of this style of ink system printers from Epson and every single one has problems that are beyond repair. Seems like they rushed out a new ink system before testing it more. Or they knew this would happen and it's the new form of income to replace how much they would be losing from ink cartridges with them. I cannot recommend this style of printer yet. Especially when there are so many successful ways to do it with well documented printers like the Canon Pixma Pro series and Epson Artisan or Stylus Pros.
All you need is a good chip resetter or auto-reset ones if you're ok with using non-genuine cartridges.
