Epson ET-4550 printing problem

Hello PrinterForums

My Epson ET-4550 has developed a printing problem.

Plain text from MS Notepad is fine.

But images have a middle section missing. And it makes no difference whether the images are colour or greyscale.

(Please see scans of my print outs attached, plus the original I was using to test my printer with.)

Can anyone please help?

OK to give an update.

If I print a picture using MS Paint or Adobe Photoshop then it prints fine.
But if I print using the Windows 10 "Right Click" context menu then the middle is missing.

So this must be a software issue and not a hardware one.

I'll open a support ticket with Epson and another one with Microsoft.

And I'll report back here with my findings.

I spoke to Epson, they are aware of the issue.

It's a world-wide phenomenon and to do with the last Windows 10 update.

I have to wait for a fix to be developed and released in the next update patch.
