I hope this isn't against the rules since this is technically an automatic document scanner (ADS) and not a printer, but it's made by a major printer company, and it is so close to a printer in terms of function, mechanics, and parts, (not to mention that many multi-function printers these days also include scanning functions and even ADS/ADF functions), and so I'm hoping that any technicians out there might have experience with these products as well.
I have an Epson FF-680W that has four lights flashing (in sync) continuously. Namely, the "error", "ready", "AP mode" and "Wi-Fi" lights are all flashing together about once per second.
According to the manual (https://files.support.epson.com/docid/cpd5/cpd55191/index.html or https://files.support.epson.com/docid/cpd5/cpd55191.pdf), this indicates a "fatal error" (see Solving Problems -> Scanner Lights Status, or page 92 in the PDF version).
Any idea what the cause of this could be, or how to troubleshoot?
