I have just been given an unopened bottle of Epson Ink code 120. My machine is the Epson Et-3850 using ink code 102

What is the difference between the two codes? Is it that the tank connections are different - I havent opened the bottle yet to have a check, or is the ink just the difference, and will it harm my machine to use this other code 120?

The main difference between Epson 120 and 102 inks is usually compatibility and formulation. The 120 might not have the right bottle design to fit your ET-3850's tank, and the ink itself may not be optimized for your printer. Using the wrong ink can potentially cause clogs or damage. I’d recommend sticking to the 102 ink to avoid issues. You could try selling or swapping the 120 ink if it’s unused. Hope this helps!
