Epson L6270 Automatic Printer ON when a print job is put in queue?

How can I set my Epson L6270 printer to automatically come ON when a print job is sent via my Mac desktop (WiFi), or AirPrint? The printer is new, so I'm just learning its capabilities but can't find any command/setting to do this. The printer works well when it's manually turned on, but I think it should be triggered with a print job as well. Any joy? (My Canon printer does this, no problem.)
