Epson Media Installer causing printer disconnect

When I make an edit in Epson Media Installer it causes the printer to lose connection with the Print Layout app.
I can reconnect the printer by deleting from the system and then adding again.
But then I lose the new media settings I've created. So I can't use the Media Installer.
All the apps and drivers are up to date.
Has anyone had a similar problem and do you have a solution?

On further investigation, it would appear that the particular ICC profile that I added to my new media setting was causing the problem.
It was a generic paper profile provided by the paper manufacturers. I will contact them; maybe they can shed some light on the subject.

There are a few things you can try to fix this issue:

Uninstall the Epson Media Installer. You can uninstall the Epson Media Installer from the Control Panel.
Restart your computer. After uninstalling the Epson Media Installer, restart your computer.
Reinstall the Epson printer driver. You can reinstall the Epson printer driver from the Epson website.
