Epson R1900 foam ink pad?

I am cleaning my R1900 which has been dormant for a few years. I am working on the print heads, but wondered about the foam pad that lays along the bottom channel where the carrier moves to and fro? That foam pad is so saturated with ink that even after two years of non-use, it wet and gooey.

Is there a way to replace that pad? Is the part available?
