I've read all the horror stories about clogged heads on the Stylus Pro 4900, but yet there is this 4900 that is calling to me like a siren from Greek mythology for $150 within a short drive of my house.
Here's the description from the craigslist ad.
"Total prints 68 pages"
"Maintenance Box 1 [E ***** F] Box 2 [E ********* F] "
"Epson Stylus Pro 4900 in great condition."
"Used lightly and then stored in dry basement for 2 years."
"Printer powers on and runs through all of its checks with no issues"
"Print head needs to be cleaned but otherwise printer is working."
That last sentence, of course, has warning bells going off in my head-- very loudly.
So, my question is: Bargain or Boat Anchor ?
Please help. It's calling me. It's only $150
