Epson Stylus Pro 9600

Hi, have just bought a second hand Stylus pro 9600 have put new cartridges in when I switch it on all I get is wait
even when i reset it, it just stays at wait,
any one got any ideas, I have switched between usb and paralell ports, still nothing, tried maintanace mode nothing

Did you install OEM Epson brand ink cartridges?

Did you install printer using Epson Install CD?
What is your operating system (Windows 10 maybe).

Hi Ruffin thanks for the reply
No to original cartridged bought refilleable and chip setter
printer did not come with cd, downloaded from epson win7 64 driver, and also win7 32 driver and vista 64 driver,
have reset the chips but still in wait mode,
Have done a 3 second reset, no cartidges light up as out of ink, still does not get past wait,

Dont understand three different printer drivers??
Still dont know your operating system??
If OS is Win 7 64 bit, then you should utilize Epson driver for Win 7 64 bit.
Use OEM Epson cartridges and Ink.
Firmware updates often preclude use of compatible cartridges & ink.
