Epson SureColor P800 Paper Sizes

I really like my new P800. I choose not to purchase the optional paper roll feeder, so the largest advertised sheet size is 17 x 22. Can I buy a roll of 17 inch paper and create my own sizes? For example, will the printer work if I made a sheet 17 x 40?

I'm notat all familiar with your printer but is there an option in the printer settings dialogue box to enter custom paper sizes? This is normally found at the bottom of the list a standard sizes. It may depend on the application you are trying to print from.
