Epson xp 245 won't copy

Epson xp 245 prints ok, scans ok, But I keep pressing the monochrome copy button and nothing happens. I've checked everything else. Thanks.

Possibly Black ink cartridge is empty.
Replace Black cartridge.

It prints ok though and the ink icon isn't flashing. Thank you.
