Epson XP-310 won't print from Windows notepad.

Hello all,
I'm using windows 10 64bit and I have an Epson XP-310 printer which seems to work good using the following:
Copy
Scan
Windows paint
But for some reason when I try to print using windows notepad I see a little black ( like it's trying to print ) but it doesn't.
I've used the Epson maintenance function to clean and even made sure the drivers are up to date. I even went in and clicked skip blank page.
But I'm still unable to print from notepad.
Any ideas?

Under "File" at top of Notepad GUI - Click "Print"

If printing fails, must have Windows 10 problem. Try re-installing Windows

LOL, well I actually tried that already. That's not the problem. I click print "from file - pring" and the sheet just goes through with just alittle print on it. Just not enough to make anything legible.
