Epson XP-960 Won't Print Black

Cleaned head several times, did nozzle check, installed two different new black ink cartridges, still have problem. Other colors print fine. Made an all-black copy, printed but poor quality. Downloaded new driver - actually same one - from Epson. Test page printed fine. But black Word document runs from barely legible to fuzzy. Any ideas?

Epson tech recommended turning off printer, turning back on, doing Nozzle Check (printing test pattern), black printed this time (didn't yesterday), but with holes, cleaned print heads (did that 5 times yesterday), new Nozzle Check good, and printed a couple of documents ok. Hopefully, the fix will last.
