With the printer switched off, can I "wake it up" when selecting a file from my Mac Desktop or Windows Laptop for printing. My printer is in antoher room

Printer power on but sleeping - you can wake selecting document to print.
Printer power off - you can only manually switch printer power on. Selecting document for print will not
restore AC power.
