Have HP Deskjet printer, will not accept 3rd party cartridge. What do?

Is there a way to bypass it and force it to accept my cartridge? I tried disabling the cartridge protection on the app but this doesn't work. I already bought this cartridge and don't want to spend 40$ on a frigging ink cartridge. Please help.

Not in the fashion you'd be willing to do. Return the cartridge saying it's not compatible and find a different brand. Or just use genuine. You can get them cheaper on other selling platforms.
