Help, Looking to buy new printer

I have never bought a printer before so I'm looking for someone to give me some advice. I'm looking for a printer that can print up to 11x17, color, I don't know if it needs to print both sides but I will be printing on both sides. I don't know how much i should be spending but I'm looking for something that is pretty good quality. I will be printing like menus letterheads and little stuff like that. I'm also wonder if the printer will fold for me or do I need something else.
