I have a strange situation: My Brother HL-3142CW has been connected to my TP-Link DECO Wifi for a long time. Setup was easy: Scan for SSID, choose the WIFI name, enter the password, done.
Then there was a firmware update of the DECO wifi.
Now the printer does not connect. Network reset, searching for SSID --> it does not find the Wifi. But the Wifi is up and running! It runs WPA2-PSK [AES], and I haven't changed that.
I tried a lot of things:
- installed the iPrint&Scan, but that didn't work, because the printer is not connected to the wifi.
- installed the wireless installation assistant (yes, I run a server with Macos 10.13) - the assistant does not find the wifi either.
- tried to enter the SSID on the printer, but the only offered auth method is WEP (which is really outdated, and my deco can't switch to WEP).
- updated the printer firmware to the latest (2023) version
Do you have any ideas? Many thanks, Claus
