Hello

How can I make a .PDF file become searchable, WITHOUT phyiscally printing it?

Background
I have just bought an Epson WorkForce Pro WF-7840DTWF. When it scans using Espon SmartScan, it can do OCR and thereby create a .PDF that is searchable. And this is incredibly useful!

However, how can I get it to do OCR on a PDF but WITHOUT physically printing it? Because of course, printing for no good reason is a waste of paper & ink!
