This article will walk you through some tried-and-true fixes for print spooler issues on Windows 11 desktops, laptops, and Microsoft Surface devices. These solutions are intended to get around or fix any printing issues with Windows 11 that prohibit tasks from being delivered to a printer.

Why Does the Print Spooler Cease to Operate?

The Windows 11 operating system's print spooler is a component that organizes printing tasks and places them in a queue to be dispatched to attached printers or printing services. The print spooler may have errors if it is overworked, incompatible with other components of the operating system, or just experiencing a glitch or fault brought on by an outdated driver, application, or version of Windows 11.

How Can I Fix Windows 11's Print Spooler?
Here are all of the most effective fixes for Windows 11 print spooler issues, arranged from simplest and quickest to most difficult.

Restart Windows 11:- This is common advice but it’s also advice that often works to fix bugs and glitches on Windows PCs, laptops, and Microsoft Surface devices.

Download and install the latest Windows 11 update:- The majority of print spooler failures and issues are frequently resolved in more recent editions of the Windows 11 operating system, which is frequently updated.

Update your Windows 11 apps:- The majority of print spooler failures and issues are frequently resolved in more recent editions of the Windows 11 operating system, which is frequently updated.

Run the Printer troubleshooter. To start the Printer troubleshooter, go to Settings > Troubleshoot > Other trouble-shooters and choose Run next to Printer. This will automatically detect and fix any printer-related issues on your Windows 11 device.

Stop, start, and reset the Windows 11 Print Spooler. To test if that resolves the problem, try stopping and starting the print spooler. If it doesn't, try sending your file to the printer once more after resetting the print spooler.

Clear the print queue. There could be too many print tasks in the print spooler. Remove all the jobs, then try printing your project once more.

Try printing from a different app. It's possible that the Windows application you're using is the root of the issue. Try printing the file from another software if you can by opening it there.

Offload all additional printers from your Windows 11 computer. Conflicts and spooler issues can occasionally occur when a Windows 11 device has many printers connected to it.

Remove your printer and add it back again. Although it can seem like a hassle, it should only take a few minutes and could resolve the spooler difficulties you are now experiencing.

Use Windows Compatibility Mode. Try running the corresponding app and drivers in Windows Compatibility Mode if you're using an outdated printer that needs a similarly outdated program or set of drivers to function.
