I have a HP P1007 laser printer. In normal course when the paper is not in tray it tries to pick up paper 5 times and then indicates on the computer or laptop screen that there is no paper in the tray. In my case even when pages already being printed i.e. half page is already printed, the printer picks up another paper from the tray through the Paper picking mechanism which operates by raising the paper tray.
I tried by changing the rubber roller but that has not solved the problem. The printer picks up new page when the last page has finished only half of that page. What is to be done and what is the real problem? Whether there is any sensor that detects the presence of paper? Is it a problem related with the solenoid?
can someone suggest the possible Causes and remedies.
Thank you
