Hello

We have a HP LaserJet 1000 that leave a vertical streak on each page. We have tryed another toner cartridge and the problem persist. I have uploaded a photo of the issue. The page is also "bloated" where it leave the streaking mark. Like if the page is crushed by something. Any idea of what could cause this ? We wonder if it's worth to repair the printer..

Thanks !

Hi.
It looks like a defective fuser or a defective transfer roller. You could mesure precisely the difference between the original image and the ghost one, goes on internet and make a search for your printer model and ''repetitive image defect''.

Good luck.

I know this is a late post, but I agree with Canatech.

Fuser unit was the first thing I thought of when I saw the image.

It would be cheaper to buy a new printer than change the fuser unit.

Sorry again for the lateness
