I lost seventy percent of my sanity yesterday when i had to open my hp m1005 laser printer upto the fuser unit. The printer was not printing properly at the sides. I found buildup of large toner blobs on the side of the fuser unit. The fuser film is slightly torn at the sides also.
I cleaned the toner blobs up and reassembled the printer. It printed one page and after that gave an error "jam in print paper path" that won't resolve. Obviously the torn fuser film needs replacing but is this error related to the torn fuser or to some other sensor?
