I'm new to the forum and need some advice about buying a printer to work with an iPad. My Dad has an old ipad 2 and no pc of any kind. He recently bought a printer which couldn't be set up without first connecting it to a computer. He'll mainly print photos but will also make use of a scanner/copier function as well as printing out documents letters etc. I'm not much more saavy than him unfortunately but wondered if something like an officejet 7510 could be connected straight to a router via wifi, and then accessed by the ipad, without using a computer for the initial setup?
