hp officejet pro 8600; must cycle off then on to pick up wireless connection and print

i have tried everything to get my hp to print without cycling off and on. strong wireless connection; test pages great; gone through all resets, updates, newest drivers etc. once shut off then on prints flawlessly. after off for an interval, same problem. will not connect as it does not pick up wireless signal.
