hp t45 running with win/xp keeps losing communication with pc?
So i have a 1998 hp t45 printer running on a windows xp on a hp media center pc m380n and for the life of me cannot understand why after it sits for a hour or so it loses communication with the desktop, giving me the red circle around the printer icon with the diagional line thru it? I have the ecp enanbled , its on the ltpt port 1 it shows as the default printer , ect,..... it just says disconnected , but its not? I know the printer is hella old for this pc but it used to work before i had some virius or malware and have fixed most everything else but this is really frustrateing me?
